My diary in India in the year 1858-9, by William Howard Russell, Special Correspondent of ‘The Times’, London: Routledge, Warne & Routledge, 1860, First Edition, Two volumes; Vol 1 – pp. xv, 408 + 5 tinted lithographs + map of Lucknow, Vol 2 – pp. xi, 420 + 7 tinted lithographs This is an unbiased diary of the London Times correspondent during his trip to India in the closing months of the Indian Mutiny and all 12 tinted lithographs are by Swedish artist Egron Lundgren, acknowledged as such by the author in the preface.
