Presented by the Maharaja of Benares; Album with 20 original photographs [bromide prints] pasted back to back within red border; rules and the titles printed in red at the bottom of each photograph, showing the ghats of the holy city, No date [c. 1945], Size of photographs: 3.8 x 3 inches, Cover: Brown leatherette with title embossed in gold within ornate border. Corners rounded. Endpapers are of cloth bearing gold-stamped design. The first photograph is a vignette portrait of a young Maharaja Vibhuti Narayan Singh [1927-2000], signed by him in Hindi in green ink. These albums were meant to be gifts from the Maharaja for visiting Europeans.
