4. The Baird Jewels and Archive including Tipu Sultan’s Sword; catalogue of the September 2003 auction held by Dix, Noonan and Webb of London consisting of the memorabilia in the family of Gen. David Baird [1757-1829] who had fought at Seringapatam. Includes Tipu’s sword which was eventually bought by Vijay Mallya, pp. 120 with 22 lots, all illustrated and described at length. The first 59 pages consist of a heavily illustrated summary of events with biographical and other details which led to the battle of Seringapatam, with bibliography. Softcover.
