"For me my painting is my medium of communication with the viewer or the outside world. This is the language of an artist I feel. The way a viewer understands my work inspires me more than my own interpretation. I prefer my works to be understood by a layman or an art critic at the same time in their own language. I use many layers of colours rendering a mysterious element to my works. The works are rather abstracted, as nothing in this visual world is black or white, there are connotations of gray, everything is abstracted. My figures are rather passive and have a meditative mood. They are usually merging with the visual. Most of these works according to my critics give an underwater appeal. The use of blue is very characteristic, the gold symbolizes the purity and all the colours I use do have a certain meaning to it. I have in some of my works made use of mythological stories, their characters, their thoughts, be they Sufi, Hindu, Buddhist or Christian.'’
