BY R. H.COLEBROOK, LIEUTENANT in the Service of the Honourable EAST-INDIA COMPANY, who attended the Army in the Capacity of Surveyor. LONDON: PRINTED IN THE YEAR 1794.
First Edition, 12 original hand-coloured aquatint plates by John William Edy engraved in 1793, with tissue guards (slightly worn out), has list of subscribers published, bound in later saffron-coloured cloth with Indian design, lettered in gilt against red background

Literature Literature

The original publication of the views was announced in 1792 in the Calcutta Gazette. They were published in London in 1794 and thereafter due to its popularity, because of the places connected with Haider Ali & Tipu Sultan, was republished over the years in many editions.
