An unusual work by Husain from the more recent years, in this painting, instead of the thick broad lines Husain has employed a fine pointed marker pen to draw out the figures of his five horses, bursting out in joyous energy from a swirling rainbow seen in the background. He has treated colours on this canvas as if like paper and sculpted out the forms in pale colour washes of acrylics. The silhouettes of light glistening on the curved torsos of the horses amazes one when reminded of the work done by the master at the age of 91.
