RADHA AS SVADHINABHARTRUKA NAYIKA, mid - 18th century, an exquisite miniature from Guler, which has Radha having Krishna in subjection. It is springtime and Radha is hard to please after coming to know about many of Krishna’s escapades, and Krishna is seen bending his head towards her feet in order to appease her. The entire composition has the feel of the spring season associated with love. The pink flowers in full bloom outside the window and the floral pattern on the floor symbolizes the passion that is associated with the season.
