A MAGNIFICENT TRADITIONAL AND CEREMONIAL DIAMOND, EMERALD AND RUBY JADDA BILLA (HEAD ORNAMENT), Tamil Nadu, c. 1850, set in a circular form, centering around a Colombian emerald surrounded by 8 flat diamonds in a star shape, with five layers of Burmese cabochon rubies, flat diamonds and emeralds. The rubies weigh 28.50 carats approximately, the central emerald weighs 4.5 carats approximately and the diamonds weigh 12.50 carats approximately, set in 22 carat gold, weighing 89 grams.
