Tom Raw, The Griffin: A Burlesque Poem, in Twelve Cantos: Illustrated by TWENTYFIVE ENGRAVINGS descriptive of the adventures of a cadet in the East India Company's service, from the period of his quitting England to his obtaining a staff situation in India.
By a civilian and an officer of the Bengal establishment, the artist was SIR CHARLES D'OYLY (1781–1845) London: Printed for R. Ackermann 1828, pp. 325 + 25 engravings which are hand-coloured caricatures, showing the humorous side of British life in India. A lovely copy in half leather with marbled boards and endpapers, the spine has raised bands with gilt designs and title.
