An Unusual Kurdish Long Rug, Persian-Anatolian, late 19th C, from the Northwest Persia and East Anatolian border area, or Northwest Kurdistan; see Burns, Antique Rugs of Kurdistan, no. 63, attributed to Shakak, West of Lake Urmia, for a rug with a similar main border design. Fleecy wool pile, shining dyes and lustre.
