An Adiyaman Long Sleeping Runner, Anatolia, mid 20th C. A very unusual long sleeping Tulu rug, they have a summer side (flatweave) and a winter side (fleecy strands of wool up to 8-10 inches in length), and were apparently used by shepherds in the mountains of Anatolia. Very bold drawing, almost modern in its geometric and simple representation. Square medallions of bright colours throughout the maroon, long, shaggy field.
