Inscribed on top 'Map of Gwalior State, Scale 16 miles = 1 inch' and further inscribed 'Presented by Public Works Department Gwalior Govt. under the Direction of Shrimant Sadashivrao Khase Saheb Pawar, Home Member Gwalior Govt', with three early tiled photographs depicting Maharaja Madhavrao Scindia in one of them, and the Gwalior palaces in the other two.
