A very fine and exquisite hand embroidered set of Pashmina Woolen Sarees, with matching Blouse and a Gents Shawl, circa 1915. The saree has floral motifs in sky blue and golden thread hand embroidered throughout the border and in the ‘pallu’ portion of the saree (back of the saree) with similar extended embroidered floral motifs with decorative floral motifs along the pallu, with a matching blouse with a front and back neck and collar, along with arm shaped matching embroidery. The shawl is made for the Gents with matching floral pattern embroidery throughout the shawl, to match with the saree as an evening wear.

From the descendants of a very prominent Royal family of Mursheedabad, who got this exquisite Zamahawhar saree and matching shawl custom-made during their annual sojourn to Kashmir in the early 1900’s and preserved the same as heirloom for three generations.
