A Two Part Long Turkish Kilim, Anatolian, mid to late 19th century. Flat woven, it is believed to be from the Obruk region of Central Anatolia. A beautiful colourful kilim, comprising a charcoal field, with a column of four octagonal polychrome medallions and minor flower head motifs and an ivory border. It is woven in two strips and sewn together, a classic practice in Anatolian kilims. Woven with a wool weft brocade wrapping technique. Outstanding range of mellow colours.
