A Persian Bidjar Rug, late 19th C. A very unusual rug, probably a tribal interpretation of the otherwise popular Bijar rugs that were woven in village workshops. The full central medallion provides the main anchor, tethered on the top and bottom by two half medallions that appear to dissolve into the extra wide main border, which is another defining feature of this unique weaving.
