A Large Moroccan Carpet, probably Middle Atlas region, early to mid 20th C. Moroccan rugs & carpets were not collected till recently, hence finding old ones is extremely rare. This carpet is probably woven by the Zaian tribe. The framing border is a city influence, but the lozenges grid is very rural and traditional for the Zaian people.
