A Kurdish Rug, Northwest Persia, circa late 19th C. An old fragmentary rug with a very tribal composition and feel. The rug has variations of botehs and some other very interesting geometric symbols and designs. An unusual wide barber–pole outer border. The handle is nice and floppy. One very endearing feature is that the rug is naturally misshapen like many rugs from nomadic tribes.
