A Kurdish Quchan Rug, probably Northeastern Persia, late 19th C. A rare and tribal interpretation of the Kurdish bush-in-lattice composition, probably from Northeastern Persia. The field shows an array of randomly coloured lattice diamonds, each containing a bush or flower element. Simple, triple borders, with the outer and inner minors drawn with the double running dog or ram horn symbols and the middle border depicting the colourful barber-pole design. Bright colours such as, red, orange, yellow, green, light and dark blue have been used.
