A Kurdish Kelleh or Long Rug, probably Eastern Anatolia or Northwest Persia, late 19th C to early 20th C. An unusual rug, the design with two columns of compressed flowers or elongated scorpions are laid out on a beautiful golden yellow field. The wide surrounding main border appears to have reciprocal rows of inward and outward facing birdheads in alternating colours and undyed white wool.
