A Karabagh Long Rug, South Caucasus, late 19th C to early 20th C. A dazzling so called “French” Karabagh from the Caucasian area adjoining the Kazak area to the east and southeast. This rug was probably woven in a village workshop, possibly for the aesthetic that appealed to the French market.
