A HIGHLY IMPORTANT ENGLISH SILVER MIRROR PLATEAU, elkington london, late 18th / early 19th century A significant English hallmarked silver centerpiece with a seal of Elkington London, made of a large circular form, over a broad, decorative mirrored base with two seated cupid figures on either side of a central urn-shaped flower pot holding the oval-shaped tapered base, with a Belgian cut glass and etched bowl over it, with an engraved Indian royal insignia (Kapurthala) at the bottom of the middle base, and elaborate feasting cherubs engraved on one central rectangular shield, weighing 10,270 grams.
